As I look in the mirror.

 This is a piece of writing that I have done. As I look in the mirror I see an old, wrinkly, lonely and haggard lady staring at me with broken red glasses on with an old purple scarf that looks like a rag. As I go looking for valuable stuff I see an old box that looks like it has holes in it. I opened it with excitement hoping that it would be something that I could use but when I opened the box all I saw was an old yellow umbrella with holes in it I said to myself at least now I have something for when it rains. I see another box. I started opening it with happiness that I found another box

but I open it there was four paper birds.I look in the corner of my eye and I see an old car I rush over and I hopped in it then I saw a air freshener and I gave it a sniff it smelled so nice I leaned back into the chair and the chair fell back.As the chair fell back it made a noise so I looked at the back of the chair and saw another dusty old box but this box was wooden and so I picked it up and opened the box .When I opened the box I thought that it would be something like an old scruffy macaroni necklaces but no it was the best thing I had ever seen It was a shining,sparkly,amazing Diamond ring then I rushed back to my tent and set everything up and it was amazing there were shining lights everywhere in my tent.As I went to sleep in my tent with the lights on I had a smile on my face.

Plastic pollution.

Pollution might cause muddy landscapes, poison in soils and waterways, or kill plants and animals.

What is plastic pollution? 

Plastic pollution is when people abandon  their rubbish and don’t know the type of harm that they're doing. Plastic pollution is also when people throw their trash into the ocean and the sea animals eat it and choke.

What does plastic  do?

Plastic kills our sea animals and it puts chemicals in their 

body.When people throw rubbish in the ocean sometimes the trash has left over stuff in it and it makes it into chemicals and then people breath it.

MY two problems.

My two problems are the fish dieing and people breathing the chemicals.

Fish dieing 

We need to stop throwing rubbish out into the ocean because it is killing our sea animals and puting chemicals in their bodys.

Solution.

A solution to stop the sea animals from dieing is to stop throwing trash out the window and start recycling.

People breathing in chemicals.

People breathing in chemicals is a prodlematic because it poisons them and makes their organs go rotten.

A solution.

A solution to stop people breathing chemicals is to stop smoking and to stop the gas from mixing into our fresh air.

The impact of climate change in Aotearoa.

The impact of climate change in Aotearoa

We are learning to explain how climate change affects our environment in Aotearoa.

What is climate change? Climate change is like when the weather changes in different places and at odd times. How does climate change affect our environment? It affects our environment if it is snowing and the weather keeps on changing. 

 

Firstly, I am going to explain the problems of snow. When the weather changes it could be snowing and the snow can evaporate all the water, then we will have no water in our creeks and rivers. For example when the snow melts it could lead to a lot of water, but when the sun comes out the sun evaporates it all. We can’t stop the snow from melting because this is caused by the sun and we can’t stop the sun. I think that snow affects not just aotearoa.

When the sun shines on the ocean it reflects on the fish and the sun cooks them. For example when the sun hits the water it boils the water and that could lead into our fish going to waste and then there will be no more tuna and fish in the sea living their lives. We can't stop this problem because we need the sun but it is doing damage to our lands. I feel like the sun shines too hard on the sea but we can’t do anything about it because We can’t stop the sun.

When it rains too much the rain fills up the drains and then the dirty water from the drains floods out and could mix with our clean water. For example, the dirty water can pollute the water and could put chemicals in the water that we drink. Rain can be hurtful because it could do more damage than you think. I think that rain can do more damage Than what I’ve just told you.

Hailing can break something that is special to you. For example, you can leave something outside while it is hailing the hail blocks of ice can break that thing that you left outside. If you think that it does not harm, well you might want to to think again because the ice can do a lot of damage. I feel like hailing is not just damaging what we think it is.

In conclusion I think that climate change is not just affecting aotearoa because Japan and China get affected by climate change all the time and it sometimes  ends other people’s lives.
